“Back in 2010 Northchurch Cricket Club had no junior section at all. We decided in 2011 to start an U9 side and I think at the first coaching session we had six or seven young players.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the club now has a thriving junior section with over 100 players (male and female) from U9s through to U15s. We also now have half a dozen qualified coaches.

Last Sunday, the 9th September, was the last game of the season away at Potten End. Although the team (pictured) lost, we had seven of our current U15 team playing, one U14 and just three senior players. Six of the players were from the original U9 team we started in 2011. All in all, just brilliant - the future looks bright!!”
