Three wins out of three for the juniors

U15 A v Abbotts Langley

Going into Tuesday's game full of confidence, NCC restricted the opposition to 99, with Jamie P the pick of the bowlers for his four wickets (and run out). In reply, Northchurch knocked off the runs with seven overs to spare, Olly P and in form Jamie P both retiring on well made 40s.

U15 A v Langleybury

The U15As would need to wait only 24 hours before their next match, which saw another debutant and the much anticipated return of Henry, alongside some heroic bowling from Callum of the U13s.

Having posted a very imposing 146 for 2, with Olly P making his customary 40 (retired) and Will B dispatching balls to all parts of the ground, our tidy bowling restricted Langleybury to 84/5 off their allotted overs. This must be set in the context of the usual Northchurch way, giving every player at least two overs and sharing out the opportunities.

The pick of the bowlers was Elliot with an incredibly hostile couple of overs, picking up a wicket and only going for two runs. He was ably assisted by all rounder Jamie P, his brother Callum and the economical Raj, ripping his wrist spinners past the bat.

U9 v Chorleywood

The youngest of our team put together a very mature performance to overhaul a strong Chorleywood at the Meadow on Thursday. They bowled very straight and kept taking wickets throughout the visitors' innings to restrict the total to 243. In reply they mixed caution with attack, occasionally launching the ball way over the boundary to first get their noses in front then press home the advantage to win by 33.
