1st Game 1st win :-)
So after all the talk & admin we finally got out on the pitch Saturday for our first game of the season.
A huge thanks to Hobbers for providing a great pitch on a day when a lot of other games were cancelled. Also thanks to the guys that helped with covers on Friday night #getthegameon
The new 1st x1 captains first toss of the season & he won it on what looked to be a seamer friendly pitch we promptly invited Redborn to bat. Impressive opening spells from Calum & OJ soon had the oppo in trouble at 30-4. Backed up well by Spacey, Romit & Greg NCC bowled out Redbourn for 118 in 42 overs with Calum & OJ both picking up 3 fa.
In reply NCC struggled to get going with the bat & lost wickets consistently. Only new overseas player Shane dug in well to bat the situation and made a classy 50 which proved to be the difference in the end. Greg Pitcher & Calum were there at the end to guide us home & we scraped it in truth for 9 down with Hero Greg hitting the winning runs!
Calum picked up the MOM award for his 3 fa from the Redborn team.
