The Chase: Composed Middle Order Seals the Win
Abbots Langley’s pursuit got off to a flyer thanks to Michael Burgess, whose aggressive 57 set the tone. While Northchurch’s Ollie Thaker (2-35) struck twice in quick succession to put the pressure on, the visitors remained calm.
Poojan Vyas anchored the second half of the innings with a vital, unbeaten 69*, partnering with Oliver Sills (54) in a crucial 92-run stand. Despite some tight late bowling from Harry Chapman (1-32), Abbots Langley held their nerve to hit the winning runs on the 5th ball of the final over to finish on 245-4.
