Visiting side Stanmore lent 4 players to the Sunday side who were reduced by the 1XI playing away. Stanmore chose to bat first, making a daunting total of 269-9 including 2 retirements, during which a couple of maximums were put in in the road (no mean feat, even from the top pitch). Northchurch players Jacob Laing and Jamie Moughton took two and one wickets respectively as the loaned Stanmore players picked up the rest. Laing took two fine catches in the deep, keeper James Kelley had a well taken catch down the leg side, and James Blackmore took a superb diving grab at point.
It was a disappointing day for Northchurch with the bat, with the only real resistance coming from Stanmore's loaned player Naqeeb's blistering 71 (he had taken a wicket, catch and direct-hit run-out in the previous innings). Lloyd Debenham played his usual gritty defensive game to force Stanmore to go the distance, finishing 13*, whilst Jacob Laing had a cameo to be proud of as last man in with 17*, as Northchurch finished 100 runs short of the target on 169-9.
