

Match Introduction
On a freezing 10 May 2026, the NCC u10 Boys Blacks hosted Tring Park CC at The Meadow as part of a 5 match Super Sunday! The visitors won the toss and elected to field first in this Herts Junior Cricket League encounter. Following a highly disciplined performance across both innings, Northchurch CC won by 22 runs.
The First Innings: Disciplined Batting
The NCC U10 Blacks batting unit displayed immense maturity, only losing 5 wickets across the 20 overs. Highlights included a lovely four by Oliver B, the 3rd batting partnership of Seb and Barnaby with excellent awareness and running, followed by the big hits and good running of Harry W (a 16 run a ball innings earning him skill of the match) in the 4th pair with Oliver G. This projected us to a very competitive score of 130 for the loss of only 5 wickets, the team secured a Net Score of 305.
The Second Innings: Defensive Masterclass
Tring came out of the blocks fast, ahead of the run-rate until the 14th over where a flurry of wickets pegged them back. Noah got his first wicket for Northchurch, Orson bowled a tidy two overs on debut. Harry R got 2 wickets in 2 balls, but the pick of the bowlers was Oliver G with a man of the match tight 2 wicket performance. The 5 runouts cost Tring dearly. This meant that Tring's 133 run total was reduced to a Net Score of 283
