Northchurch Under 12s put in a fantastic team performance this evening against Boxmoor in a match played under surprisingly sunny skies. Despite the chilly conditions, the rain stayed away until the very end, making for a great evening of cricket.

There were some standout moments in the field, with Sonny taking an impressive three catches to help keep the pressure on Boxmoor throughout the innings. Leo also delivered a superb spell with the ball and deservedly picked up a wicket after some excellent bowling.

Northchurch showed plenty of confidence with the bat too, with Lola and Oliver Blaney both striking excellent boundaries. It was also a special evening for Ran and Oliver Blaney, who were both making their debut appearances for the team and both boys performed brilliantly in their first game.

Although Northchurch came up just short against a strong Boxmoor side, who finished on 284 for 8, Northchurch responded well with 244 for 9. The team should be very proud of the effort, teamwork and determination shown throughout the match, with plenty of positives to take into the next game.
