Last Week’s Results (4th – 10th May)

It was a fantastic week for Northchurch CC, highlighted by dominant senior victories and impressive displays across our junior ranks.

Senior Cricket Highlights

• 1st XI vs Dunstable Town CC: The 1st XI secured a massive 110-run victory. Tom Garraway anchored the innings with a resilient 63, while Matt Suckling added a flair-filled 57 to reach a total of 239/8. The bowling was equally clinical, featuring an incredible period of 4 wickets in 5 balls, including an exceptional 3-wicket over from Charlie Sweeten.
• 2nd XI vs Hemel Hempstead Town CC: A hard-fought 35-run win earned the 2nd XI maximum points. Ketan Angris led with an aggressive 50, supported by Richard Reid (33). Matt Dawson and Noah Clifford both claimed 2 wickets to stifle the Hemel chase.

Junior Cricket Highlights

• Under 11 Girls vs Tring Park CC: The girls secured a convincing 33-run victory. Athena and Emily both claimed two wickets, while Siân top-scored with a composed 15.
• Under 10 B vs Tring Park CC: The "Blacks" won by 22 runs, propelled by Harry W’s "Skill of the Match" 16-run cameo and Man of the Match Oliver G’s tight bowling.
• Under 14 Boys vs West Herts CC: Despite a 7-wicket loss, the team showed great quality. Ryan and Harry both retired undefeated after a clinical opening platform.
• Other Results: The U12 B team fell 34 runs short against Tring Park, and both the U10s and U9s faced narrow defeats in their respective matches against Berkhamsted.

Club Gratitude

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the following members for their incredible support of the club:

• Andrew Lerpiniere for his hard work constructing the new shelves in the garage kit store.
• Fred Whitton (Zoe, U11 Girls) and Shahil Bhimji (Eshan, U9 Boys) for their generous donations of an iPad and Mac, which will be vital for scoring our senior matches.
• A special mention also goes to 'Super Sunday Simon' for his Herculean effort in managing the setup for five home matches last Sunday.
